After the exchange of letters you saw in Part 1 of this blog, in which MemberX was dating a “Chinese girl” who supposedly resides in the UK but had gone on a trip to Nigeria, I discovered that a letter I had sent to MemberX earlier than the last letter in Part 1 had actually not reached him, so I sent it again. You’ll find it below and it’s valuable because of our recommendations to MemberX on what to watch for, as well as his understandable refusal to want to give up on Kibecky, but his intelligent plan to now test Kibecky more thoroughly to determine if she was real or not. We recently went through a fairly intensive investigation of a Scammer. We received a letter from a member who had “found someone on ALM”. This was a fellow whose profile we had recently reviewed because we thought it was very sensible, and displayed an intelligent awareness and approach to the potential problem of being scammed on a dating site. Just one example was his insistence that anyone contacting him must have a webcam. I will simply refer to the member as “MemberX”. Read more…

I'm supposed to give you a bit of an introduction of myself before I start blogging here. But I have trouble doing that. When I go on a job interview I do great on introducing what I learned at school and what I do at work. But when I was asked to give an introduction of myself I got stuck.
